Awesome time but lots of weeds and need more fish in the lake.

Enjoyed Puite res for years

I camped out here in the back of my pickup. Only one other campsite appeared occupied, about a quarter mile away, so I had total privacy, but someone was on a power boat in the reservoir until darkness. There are toilets, but no other facilities. The ground by the edge of the reservoir was covered in dry animal droppings, but I saw no wildlife other than birds. The desert stretches away all around, and the highway is distant, so it's very quiet. There's a $5 fee for camping--you put the money in an envelope and then into a drop box. No park personnel are there.

dry as a desert. its a puddle.
